Our story

How it began

Hi, I’m Loren. My story begins at Girlstown, USA, a faith-based residential community outside Whiteface, Texas, operated by Cal Farley’s. I arrived after my parents divorced, and it became a steady place during an uncertain time. When the Girlstown campus closed, I moved to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch outside Amarillo. Across both campuses, caring mentors and a close-knit community helped me heal, grow, and believe in myself. I learned resilience, responsibility, faith, and the importance of showing up for others. Those values remain at the heart of how I live, work, and serve my community today.

Why ‘Rodeo’ Bites?

Through programs that emphasized discipline and perseverance, I thrived in activities like horseback riding and rodeo, eventually earning the title of Jr. Rodeo Champion in 2009 with my horse, Blue. The camaraderie, support, and guidance from my peers and mentors taught me invaluable lessons that continue to shape who I am today. These formative experiences ignited my passion for baking and inspired me to create Rodeo Bites, a brand that reflects the values of hard work, community, and authenticity that I hold close.

What the arena taught me about baking

Long before anyone watches you compete, there is work to do. You feed before daylight, care for your animals, practice the same pattern, learn from what went wrong, and come back ready to do it better.

Baking is much the same. You tend the starter, trust the process, adjust when something is not right, and keep working until you have made something worth sharing.

That is the heart behind Rodeo Bites: work hard, keep learning, and take care of the people who support you. This community has always shown up for us, and we want this bakery to be one more way we show up for them.

Rodeo is not just part of our name. It is part of how we live, how we work, and how we serve.

Inspired by Delicious

More than just delicious treats.

At Rodeo Bites, we are building a brand rooted in resilience, community, and a love for Texas-made goodness. I started this journey with a simple vision: to share the flavors and values I cherish with others.
