Our Story
Read on to learn more about how it all began and where the name Rodeo Bites came from!
Inspired by Delicious
At Rodeo Bites, we believe in creating more than just delicious treats – we’re building a brand rooted in resilience, community, and a love for Texas-made goodness. Our founder, Loren, started this journey with a simple vision: to share the flavors and values she cherishes with others.
How it Began
Hi, I’m Loren. My journey has been deeply shaped by my time at Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, a special place near Amarillo, TX, that supports both boys and girls. When my parents divorced, Cal Farley’s became a place of healing and growth, where I found not only guidance from caring mentors but also a strong sense of community and faith. It was there that I learned important life skills, gained confidence, and discovered the power of resilience and responsibility. The values instilled in me at the Ranch—supported by faith and surrounded by a caring community—continue to guide me every day.
Why 'Rodeo' Bites?
Through programs that emphasized discipline and perseverance, I thrived in activities like horseback riding and rodeo, eventually earning the title of Jr. Rodeo Champion in 2009 with my horse, Blue. The camaraderie, support, and guidance from my peers and mentors taught me invaluable lessons that continue to shape who I am today. These formative experiences ignited my passion for baking and inspired me to create Rodeo Bites—a brand that reflects the values of hard work, community, and authenticity that I hold close.
New Beginnings
My time at Cal Farley’s inspired me to create something meaningful for my community. Now, I’m embarking on an exciting mother-daughter venture that merges my baking passion with my mother’s entrepreneurial expertise. As a successful founder with an exit, my mother brings invaluable insights and experience. Working with her has fueled my entrepreneurial spirit and taught me to turn challenges into opportunities.
The Vision
Baking has quickly transformed from a hobby into my full-time profession, and my signature sourdough chocolate chip cookies have become the talk of the town, selling out at every event. Our vision is to expand my beloved recipes to a broader audience, create local jobs, and establish a lasting legacy of artisanal baking in Texas. For my mother and me, this venture is more than just building a business; it’s a chance to blend our strengths and honor the values instilled in us. Together, we’re crafting a future rooted in hard work, resilience, and a passion for baking—enriching our community and celebrating Texas traditions.
Our Commitment
We’re just getting started, but our commitment to delicious, handcrafted goods and community impact is unwavering. We’re here to bring a little bit of Texas warmth to your table and spread the joy of homemade treats.
